ARTIST STATEMENT:
Photography, to me, is poetic. Not in the way that you would use words and grammar to make a reader feel emotions, but in the way that an expression can bring you to a different world. Photography inspires me to keep going. Even in times of doubt and lack of motivation, I know I have a powerful outlet in which I can express myself and connect with others. I use it to capture the beauty in other people that they may not feel themselves. I want people to feel important and to know that they matter. When I take photos, I gain a connection between me and my subject, an intimacy only we can feel. I take photos for myself, to make myself feel, to make others feel, and to express myself.
